House Karpati

The Karpati bloodline, based in Hungary, is the most ancient surviving clan. They are known for their martial prowess and ferocity, but have a reputation for possessing limited imagination. The Karpati have been locked in a two-front conflict with the Ardisi to their east and the von Runstedts to their north-west for centuries, and since the Upheaval the fighting has erupted into something resembling all-out war.

Lady Julianna Karpati – the oldest surviving vampire, having caught vampirism in the 10th century CE – is a Warrior, having strong mutations for The Crimson Mist.

Despite having few mutations for The Coercion, Julianna Karpati is also as beautiful as she is vicious.

House Karpati prides itself on its warrior tradition, and is known and respected for its violence and ferocity.

Count Ivan Radošević is a Warrior who commands the coven at Šibenik.

He is known and respected for his ability as a commander, and his soldiers are frequently rotated to the front line against House von Runstedt in the north.

Count Miklós Esterházy of Bratislava leads the coven closest to the front line against House von Runstedt to the north-west.

A Warrior known for his hunting prowess, Miklós is also famous for enjoying ostentatious displays of wealth and throwing debauched parties at his coven.

Julianna Karpati has a subordinate husband, Zoltan, but she also has another lover: the gorgeous Mira Szabo.

Mira is a Touch, famous for being the best torturer in the world; it is said that she could coax screams from a rock if she so desired. She has been Julianna’s personal dominatrix for more than half a millenium.

Baron Mátyás Takács is a Warrior who has led the bulk of the armies of the Karpati against House von Runstedt for centuries.

With possibly the strongest mutations for The Crimson Mist in the world except for Julianna Karpati herself, he is rightly feared by every sane vampire not of House Karpati.

Squad Commander Katalin Székely is a Warrior who often leads operations to the east of the Karpati covens, against the Ardisi.

She and Ana Kvaratskhelia very often find themselves pitted against the other. Squad members on both sides have died, and the hatred between them runs deep.
